WEDDING FAQ
What is your style?
My focus is to capture a series of beautiful and emotional portraits during your wedding day. For that, I will stay out of your way as much as possible while trying to be in the right place at the right time. I also will ask for 15-30 minutes of your time away from the guests to create some classic images on location of just the two of you.
How many pictures do we get?
Enough to tell the whole story. The number of photographs depends on a variety of factors; the number of hours covered, a number of guests, amount of details and things to photograph, speeches, dances, etc… On average you will get between 30-60 photos per hour of coverage.
Do we get the disc of photos?
Each wedding package includes digital negatives for your archive. There will be at least 500 untouched original images from your wedding delivered to you via USB along with your album.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Your online gallery with a selection of best-edited images will be posted 2-4 weeks after your session or wedding is shot. The online gallery is where you can get prints, digital downloads and preview your album layout. Generally, you should allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of wedding images and about 2 weeks for portrait sessions. Printed albums take 2 weeks after you make a selection of images and an additional 2-3 weeks to print&ship after you approve the layout.
Do we need a second photographer?
I usually work alone but in certain circumstances like for weddings with more than 200 guests attending having a 2nd photographer is recommended. In other cases having a second photographer can be a huge advantage – it really just depends on a number of factors. I can walk you through these considerations when we talk about your wedding day.
I work with a number of great local photographers who are often available to support me in capturing your big day.
What is your payment schedule?
50% of your package holds the date and is non-refundable with the balance due on the day of the wedding.
Do you come to the rehearsal?
I do not normally attend the rehearsal. Coverage can be added to your package if you want that part of your wedding covered.
Can my guests take photos at my wedding?
Yes, although I ask in my contract that I am the only professional photographer working at the wedding. I don’t allow cameras behind me during formal portraits. I strongly recommend asking guest not to take photos during the processional part of the ceremony, so that the wedding aisle is not lined with iPhones as you walk down.
Do you take table photos?
Not normally, I much rather prefer to shoot candid photos of your guests rather than tying up a lot of time going from table to table. I often find table photos are hard to take because people are at the bar, restroom, etc… If getting images of your guests are important, I would consider using a photo booth at your reception. It’s a great opportunity for guests to have fun and take more photos of each other for you.
WHAT ARE THE ALBUMS LIKE THAT YOU OFFER?
I offer a professional press printed albums for my clients. They have leather or linen covers with thick, lay-flat pages with no seam and are embossed with your names on the front. What kind of equipment do you use?
I use Canon professional gear and continually invest in new and innovative equipment to provide my clients with the best image quality possible. I always have backup equipment at each event. My favorite portrait setup is full frame Canon 5D Mark III camera and prime Canon EF 35mm f/1.4 II USM Lens.
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Absolutely. I carry a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy. If your venue requires a proof of insurance, I am happy to provide it. I also have backup equipment and backup systems for all of your images.
