No two weddings are the same.
Whether you’re planning a tiny backyard ceremony, 300 person bash, a destination wedding or something in-between, I would love to know what your perfect day would look like. We’ll set up a time to talk and I’ll put together a coverage package specifically for you.
All wedding collections include edited, high-resolution images for you to enjoy and keep.
My local wedding commissions begin at $550/hr with a 2-hr minimum

WEDDING FAQ
WHAT IS INCLUDED in YOUR WEDDING PACKAGES?
INITIAL CONSULTATION:
I will meet with you personally or be available for FaceTime or Skype calls for pre-wedding consultation and during the lead-up to the big day to discuss and coordinate the details of your wedding.
TRAVEL:
Travel to and between a wedding ceremony and reception locations is included within the 50-mile radius of Truckee, CA 96161. Otherwise, there will be a travel fee added.
ONLINE GALLERY:
A password-protected online gallery of edited images is presented to you within 4 weeks of your wedding. Gift prints can be ordered directly through your online gallery that will be displayed online for one year.
ALBUM and WALL DISPLAY CREDIT:
A certain amount of credit is included in each wedding package and available to spend on designing and printing of wedding photo keepsakes and wall art for your home.
DIGITAL PHOTO FILES:
High-resolution edited photo files are included with all wedding collections and available to download directly from your online gallery.
WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
My focus is to capture a series of beautiful and emotional portraits during your wedding day. For that, I will stay out of your way as much as possible while trying to be in the right place at the right time. I also will ask for 20-40 minutes of your time away from the guests to create some classic images on location of just the two of you.
HOW MANY PICTURES DO WE GET?
Enough to tell the whole story! The number of photographs depends on a variety of factors; the number of hours covered, a number of guests, the amount of details and things to photograph, speeches, dances, etc… There will be at least 60 edited photographs per hour of coverage from your wedding delivered to you via USB.
WE DON"T REALLY NEED ALBUMS or PRINTS, CAN WE JUST GET DIGITAL PHOTOS?
Each wedding package includes high resolution edited photo files with print rights for your archive. Having said that I will also say that we don't really know how long the digital data will exist, so I would encourage you to make prints!
WHY ARE PRINTS SO IMPORTANT?
Photography has always been about preserving memories and history for the future. Today that means protecting images from the vagaries of technological change. Remember the floppy disk? How about the PhotoCD? Good luck easily retrieving data from either! Remember that today's file formats and storage devices may not always be available.
If you want to preserve your memories you need to make a print. Your kids and grandkids will appreciate the effort!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
I will start working on editing your photographs on the very next day after your wedding. Your finished online gallery of edited images will be posted 4 weeks after your session or wedding is shot. I will do my best to provide a few preview images before your wedding gallery is complete. Printed albums take 2-3 weeks to design after you make a selection of images and an additional 2-3 weeks to print&ship after you approve the layout.
DO WE NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Having a second photographer can be a huge advantage – it really just depends on what you're planning for your wedding day. I can walk you through these considerations when we meet to discuss your wedding day. In certain circumstances like for weddings with more than 200 guests attending having a 2nd photographer is required.
I work with a number of great local photographers who are often available to support me in capturing your big day.
WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
The usual: 50% of your package holds the date and is non-refundable with the balance due on the day of the wedding.
I am also happy to set up a more flexible payment option with 3+ payment plans.
CAN MY GUESTS TAKE PHOTOS AT THE WEDDING?
Yes, although I ask in my contract that I am the only professional photographer working at the wedding. I don’t allow cameras behind me during formal portraits. I strongly recommend asking guests not to take photos during the processional part of the ceremony, so that the wedding aisle is not lined with iPhones as you walk down.
WHAT ARE THE ALBUMS LIKE THAT YOU OFFER?
There is nothing like seeing the story of your wedding day in a beautiful album.
During your initial wedding consultation, I will show you a few printed samples
of handcrafted albums and press printed books.

DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
Absolutely. I carry a 1 million dollar liability insurance policy. If your venue requires a proof of insurance, I am happy to provide it. I also have backup equipment and backup systems for all of your images.
